Sephora is coming to M&S: shop-in-shops in 100 Marks & Spencer stores from 2027
Sephora will open concessions in 100 M&S stores from spring 2027 and sell a wider range on M&S.com, giving M&S a beauty draw and Sephora a route onto every high street.
The M&S autumn advert stars Gillian Anderson in the V&A's National Art Library, soundtracked by Ida Corr vs Fedde Le Grand's Let Me Think About It.

The song in the M&S advert for autumn 2026 is Let Me Think About It by Ida Corr vs Fedde Le Grand, the 2007 dance hit. The woman in the library is Gillian Anderson, back for a second season as the retailer’s Chief Compliments Officer, and the library is real: the National Art Library at the V&A in London.
Anderson plays a student of compliments, reading quietly while a group of stylish young women around her covet a faux fur coat from the new collection. M&S sums the mood up in its own description of the film: styles so good that everyone will be “complimenting, copying and begging to borrow”. The 50-second film went up on the M&S channel on 2 September.
Mother London created it, with the directing collective rubberband shooting through Smuggler, as More About Advertising reported, comparing the schoolgirl energy to St Trinian’s. It is the latest chapter of Love That, the platform Mother launched in March when Anderson was first appointed. Marketing director Sharry Cramond said the brand was “excited to keep building that momentum into autumn”.
The commercial point is price. M&S says 68 per cent of the collection costs under £50, and the jacket at the centre of the film is £70.
Let Me Think About It began as a track on the Danish soul singer Ida Corr’s 2006 album Robosoul, and became a club hit when the Dutch DJ Fedde Le Grand remixed it the following year. It is a canny pick: old enough to be nostalgic for the women M&S most wants back, and lively enough to work on TikTok.
M&S fashion advertising spent years changing its mind every season. Love That is the opposite: one idea, one recurring character, one tone, carried from spring through summer into autumn and on to this year’s advent calendar.
That is what a brand platform is supposed to look like, and it is the same discipline Boots has just signed up to with Give it Some Boots. A famous face is easy to hire. Finding her a job title the public remembers is the hard part.
